Rimmel Stay Matte Challenge. Day 1 first impressions,

I was selected to be part of the trial for Rimmel's Stay Matte Challenge and yesterday I received my little package with a full size product in!! (Very Impressed!)

So Day 1 of the Stay Matte Challenge began and I am already feeling the love of this foundation.
The packaging has improved and I really quite like this. The formulation feels better to.

When applying to the back of my hand the texture is a lot more like a very popular mousse foundation we all know. A small amount goes alot further than I expected and the coverage is amazing for a high street brand! I have quite a large patch of acne on my one cheek now and the coverage was fantastic.
I was supplied with the shade Ivory which has been perfect for my skin tone this shade is a really true to colour shade.

Today I just applied with my fingers but tomorrow I going to try out a couple of different techniques to see what provides the best finish.
My only down sides to this so far are its settles in creases such as under eyes and dry skin does not like this at all! I only have a small patch on the end of my nose which believe me the foundation let me know about.

Blended out the finish is matte without appearing cakey, Ive needed less than I would apply with my normal foundation and I have also need to apply alot less concealer than normal.

The foundation lasted the day with only a little fading over my face. I did not find it all over the kids clothing which can be fairly common for me (a cuddly mummy here!!)

So lets see what the rest of the week brings........
